Cold email infrastructure

Here’s our secret MDMI strategy

Welcome to Issue #5 of RevGen Labs Report.

Cold email is more fragile than ever before.

What worked yesterday can fail tomorrow, and without the right foundation, your entire outreach strategy can crumble in an instant.

We learned this the hard way in November 2024. Suddenly, our Outlook inboxes stopped delivering. Our client results plummeted compared to previous months.

And it wasn't just us – every cold email agency was struggling with the same issue.

We tried everything.

Google inbox resellers? Check.
Outlook inbox resellers? Tried them.
Private SMTP infrastructure? Of course.

But nothing worked.

Our deliverability kept dropping, client satisfaction was falling, and we were running out of options. We faced a critical question:

How could we regain control when everything seemed to be falling apart?

That's when we decided to take matters into our own hands and build something better - RevGen Mail.

We analyzed every single problem we'd encountered with other providers and engineered solutions directly into our own infrastructure.

Then we tested it extensively on our own campaigns before rolling it out to clients.

The results? Mind-blowing.

We're seeing a 20% increase in delivery rates compared to our partner email providers, and more than 50% of our clients inboxes are RevGen Mails.

And for the first time, we're making RevGen Mail available to you.

We've opened up 100 spots for our newsletter subscribers, but they won't last long.

LOCK IN YOUR SPOT NOW before they're gone!

But there are several other critical factors that determine whether your cold email campaigns sink or swim.

Here’s what we're covering today:

  • 4 critical strategies to future-proof your cold email campaigns

  • My proven approach that's generating 45-55% reply rates

  • A new "hibernation cycle" technique most people haven't discovered yet

A few weeks ago, we had Noel Marinaguha on the podcast. If you missed the session, watch it here:

4 Critical Strategies for Cold Email Survival

After thousands of campaigns and countless adjustments, here's what's actually working now:

1. Diversify Your Domain & Outbox Strategy

The days of single-domain sending are over.

One suspension and you're done.

At RevGen Labs, we START our clients with 150 outboxes (not for the faint-hearted).

But for most businesses, I recommend starting with:

  • At least 10 domains

  • Each with ONLY 2 outboxes

  • Properly segmented by campaign type

This approach reduces risk and improves deliverability across the board.

2. Implement Strategic Warmup Protocols

A cold inbox is a dead inbox.

And most people warm up incorrectly.

I strongly recommend using Smartlead or Instantly with these settings:

  • "HIGH" warmup volume

  • "LOW" outbound volume

Our best-performing setup follows this formula:

  • 50 outboxes total

  • 30 daily warmup emails per inbox

  • Only 15 actual outbound emails

  • Result: 45-55% reply rates consistently

3. Build a "Hibernation Cycle" (Our Secret Weapon)

This is our newest innovation, and it's already showing remarkable results.

Instead of constant sending, we alternate between:

  • Active sending periods (2-3 weeks)

  • Hibernation/warmup-only periods (1-2 weeks)

This pattern keeps your domains healthy much longer and avoids triggering spam detection algorithms that look for consistent high-volume sending.

4. Take Strategic Shortcuts (Without Cutting Corners)

There are legitimate ways to get your domains and inboxes set up:

  • For a fraction of the price

  • In 1/1000th of the time

  • Without compromising deliverability

We've developed a comprehensive setup process that ensures no single misstep becomes a total failure point.

Let's create a solution that truly delivers results.
